I’m proud of you….

Depression is real. It’s life altering, and can totally cripple a person. It’s not just mental, but physical also.
.
There was a time in my life, that I literally had to talk myself into getting out of bed. Like I had to give myself an actual 20 to 30 minute pep talk just to get up. Just getting dressed, and doing the regular morning routine felt more than difficult. It literally took all of the will power I had to do these very simple tasks.
.
When you suffer from depression, everyone around you SEEMS happier, and far more together than you. And when you are in it, the last thing you want to do is take happiness from anyone. You feel like your nothing but a burden to everyone around you.
.
I am incredibly thankful I had a more than concerned counselor, and a good friend, who knew this. He would call me every morning, and just talk me into getting dressed. Convince me to have a glass of water, and try to just step outside and feel fresh air. He never hung up the phone until I did at least 2 of these things.
.
I really never knew how much power our minds have over us, especially when they are sick. Mental health is such a crucial part of being healthy.
.
You cannot improve physically, if you are not ok mentally. They go hand in hand, if anything, your mental health is probably even more crucial.
.
Mental health and stability is crucial to get yourself into the right mind set to commit it being physically healthier.
.
Be kind to yourself, stay positive, respect yourself, and most of all LOVE yourself.
